The Design Story

This full interior and exterior renovation reworked a Mediterranean-style villa in Jumeirah Park's District 4 from the ground up — inside, outside, and everywhere in between. Outside, the property's ochre rendered facade, terracotta roofline and arched windows now open onto a fully landscaped garden: a private pool backed by a bougainvillea hedge, a pergola-covered outdoor bar, an alfresco dining terrace under a covered arched loggia, and an outdoor shower tucked into its own stone-clad corner. Inside, a continuous run of warm gold cove lighting traces the ceiling line through the open living, dining and kitchen — unifying rooms that each carry their own material moment. Dark herringbone parquet flooring runs beneath a marble-clad TV feature wall in the family room, while the kitchen pairs fluted stone-toned cabinetry with a book-matched marble waterfall island and backsplash. A floating staircase with a glass balustrade connects the ground floor to the upper level beneath the villa's original arched windows, now restored. Bespoke joinery carries through every room, kitchen and bathroom — including a spa-like ensuite that echoes the exterior's arched-window language through frosted glazing above a walk-in glass shower, paired with an oval vessel sink beneath a backlit arched mirror. With landscaping, joinery, marble features and a full material refresh across every room, this was less a renovation than a complete reset of the villa — indoors and out.
